Keep Asking for Notes, Good Luck on the Final There's a girl in two of classes who decides to skip a lot. When she actually shows up, she just messes around on her laptop the whole time and then complains to me about how much she hates the prof and doesn't understand what he's saying

One day, she shows up a half hour late to class, sits for 20 minutes and at the first break says "I'm going to go home and shower." She then texts me asking me to bring her the take- home exam. I didn't mind since she doesn't live far from campus. A few weeks before that she asked me for a ride home and I gave her one. What I didn't realize is that she lives in a unit. I

figured I could just put it in her mailbox or on her porch and leave, but it was raining and windy outside. I texted her repeatedly, tried calling her and not once did she answer. Eventually I looked her up on facebook (she has a unique first name) and put it in one of the mailboxes. I texted her, "I put it in insert last name mailbox and I hope it's yours"

2 hours later she finally texts back with "Thanks it is." ??? How about sorry for not answering you for hours when you drove the exam to my house for me? About 2 weeks after she asks for the lecture note for our other class that day. Apparently she was "super sick." Bull. She was "sick" 3 weeks ago. It was the last class of the term. She just wanted to get out early. Prior to this event I had already sent her 2 other lecture notes

Sure, I'll send you the lecture note... Now our professor for this class uses complicated language to explain the concepts, and she always talks about how she doesn't get what he's saying. I take pretty good lecture notes if I do say so myself, so I made a second document and copied the lecture into it. I then took out every example that would help her make sense of the professor's concepts, every

question he said would be on the exam, took out my colour coding system, unbolded and unitalicized everything. If she came to class, she would've known it was important. Occasionally I even deleted some sentences from the actual lecture material

Then I figured I should just go all the way. I took out all the bullet points and made it a mass of text. She has texted me twice since then asking for another lecture that will be on the last exam. I can't tell her I didn't go to class that day because on another occasion I said that I have never missed a lecture for that class. Even if I say I didn't go that day she could turn around and ask for other days

I turned off my read receipts and I'm going to pretend that I shut my phone away until exams were over so I could study. Have fun failing the final tl;dr - Girl takes advantage of me one too many times, receives a lecture note that doesn't make sense, likely to fail final (she isn't doing well in the class)

W... That sounds like classic ADHD. She probably stopped showing up from the frustration and guilt she feels from having intentions, knowing obligations and not feeling self-control to successfully execute. Sounds like she's trying to put in the work. Just that she isn't going to absorb the content in class and it's pretty tormenting to be

there and not be the type of ADHDer to just fall asleep. I can't guarantee she's got ADHD but she's probably got something going on and she's elearly still making an effort to cover the content. It's not like she's asking you for the answers or for copies of your assignments. Edit: OP elaborated. Offender isn't making any effort. her final grade

chewy200 OP I'd have to politely disagree. I don't think she's trying to put in the work, because she skipped the other class I had with her just as often and that class was an easy A. For the other class, on our first assignment I said I understand why I got the mark I did, because I read the book the night before. She said he wrote "it seems like you didn't read it" on hers, and she dismissively said "he's right. I didn't”

She didn't show up to any of the study sessions other students were making outside of class, and she never posted in the forums for the notes she wanted - she just asked me because it was convenient. In both of the classes I had with her I never saw her take a single note. If she tried to come to the study sessions, or tried to organize her own, or asked me if I wanted to get together to study, or asked any of us if we understood what the prof was saying, then I'd believe she at least was making

    laydkronik did she fail?

chewy200 OP Who knows. I texted her back after exams were over saying sorry I had my phone away to study, did you get the note from someone else? She hasn't responded haha
